SNMEC Factory History

SNMEC Factory is one of the pioneer workshops in Iraq, which specialized in steel works

(load calculations, engineering, procurement and construction).

SNMEC Factory established on 25/05/2009,it’s about 15000 square meter and from its first stage up to this date this Factory performed several jobs with big challenges in many sites in the country, During the last years SNMEC got wide experience in Iraqi markets & projects as well as builds up its knowledge regarding the international standards and policies.

SNMEC Factory Available Capability

  • Design and fabricate infra- steel structure for building.
  • Design and fabricate steel plate & steel structures for all fuel & water storage tanks.
  • Fabricate, welding & test all pipe spool for energy projects.
  • Fabricate, welding & test all steel structure for pipes racks & equipment.
  • Fabricate, welding & test Small tanks and vessels.
  • Fabricate all types of pipe sleepers & supports.
  • Fabricate special tools and welder carriage trailer which are necessary in storage tank erections.
  • Provide all types of overhead & Gantry cranes.

SNMEC Factory Major Engineering, Procurement & Fabrication for Storage Tanks Projects:

  • 14 storage tanks with total storage capacity of 80,000 cubic meter in ALHaydaria power plant.
  • 15 storage tanks with total storage capacity of 81,000cubic meter in ALNajybia power plant.
  • 2 storage tanks with total storage capacity 15,000 cubic meter in Basmaya residential buildings (under STX supervision).
  • 3 storage tanks with total storage capacity 6,000 cubic meter in AL Jaraf gas treatment unit (under PETRONAS/STX supervision).
  • 5 storage tanks with total capacity 27,000 cubic meter in Akkaz power plant 2 x 125 MW GE frame 9E.

SNMEC Factory Major Detail Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication for Steel Structure Projects:

  • Workshop steel structure for AL Jaraf oil field (under PETRONAS/STX supervision).
  • HFO shelter for AL Dywania gas turbine power plant (GE – Al Bilal group).
  • HFO shelter for AL Haydaria gas turbine power plant (MOE-TBC).
  • Water treatment & firefighting shelters for AL Haydaria gas turbine power plant (MOE-TBC).
  • Tie -Back steel structure in west Qurna2 (Lukoil/Al Bilal group).
  • Wet flare Replacement -flare stack area structure (BGC – Al Bilal group).
  • FWater supply system Badra – Transformer shelter (Gazprom – Al Bilal group).

SNMEC Factory Pre Fabrication & Welding Pipe Spool as well as Sand Blasting and Painting:

All above ground and underground piping network in Akkaz gas turbine power plant (under LANCO supervision).
All gas treatment unit related pipes & pipes support in AL Garaf oil field (under PETRONAS/STX Supervision).
